Many reproductive complications can be improved or resolved surgically. Some of the complications that can be resolved surgically include:
1. Rectovaginal tears (often associated with foaling accidents)
2. Cervical tears
3. Urine pooling
4. Perineal laxity in older mares (reconstructive surgery)
